In the Autumn Budget 2022 statement, the Chancellor announced a new Cost of Living Payments support package for 2023. The Department for Work and Pensions have now announced when the 2023/24 support payments will be paid. The Cost Of Living Payments are designed to help vulnerable households.

Who Is Eligible for the Cost of Living Payments?
To receive the cost of living payments you need to be in receipt of eligible means-tested benefits such as:
Income-related jobseekers allowance
Income Support
Pension Credit
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
Child Tax Credit
Working Tax Credit
Universal Credit
When Will I receive it?
If you are eligible, the cost of living support payments will be paid into your account automatically and you do not need to apply.
OTHER COST OF LIVING SCHEMES AVAILABLE AND COMING SOON
Energy Bill Support Scheme
Every domestic household in the UK is eligible for a £400 energy bill discount from October 2022 and the discount will be paid automatically and via each household energy supplier. It will be paid in six instalments. £66 in October and November, and £67 in from December until March 2023.
Cold Weather Payment
As part of the Cost Of Living payments, If you are in receipt of one of the benefits listed above (in edibility), you may be eligible for a cold weather payment
A cold weather payment is £25 for each consecutive 7-day period of cold weather at 0 degrees Celsius or below, between November and 31st March 2023. It will be paid automatically into the same account your benefits are paid into.
Warm Home Discount
Low-income households maybe entitled to £150 discount on energy bills. This is a one-off payment paid directly to your energy supplier between October 2022 and March 2023.
Help To Heat
12 billion has been invested by the government in the Help To Heat scheme. Some examples of the schemes include the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, Home Upgrade Grant and Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund. The schemes are designed to make homes more energy efficient.
ECO+ April 2023
The ECO+ scheme is aimed at delivering energy efficient improvements in over 2 million homes in the UK by improving insulation with loft and cavity insulation . It could save households up to £310.
Household Support Fund
If households are in need of additional support due to the cost of living rising. The government is funding local councils to help toward food, school uniforms, water, home essentials and housing costs. However, eligibility will vary between councils.
